Responsibilities
Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts using Playwright for web applications
Build and maintain robust automation frameworks using Java and modern test libraries
Perform end‑to‑end API testing to validate functionality, reliability, and performance of services
Work closely with development and QA teams to define test requirements and create comprehensive test plans
Analyze test results, identify defects, and collaborate with developers for timely resolution
Enhance automation frameworks to improve scalability, stability, and test coverage
Participate in code reviews and provide recommendations on quality, testability, and automation best practices
Execute functional, regression, smoke, and integration test suites as part of CI/CD pipelines
Write and execute SQL queries for backend validation during test cycles
Contribute actively in Agile ceremonies and collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams
Qualification
Required
Hands-on experience in automation testing, with strong expertise in Java
Hands-on experience in Playwright or Selenium for UI automation (Playwright preferred)
Strong proficiency in API automation using tools such as Postman, Rest Assured, or equivalent
Good understanding of testing principles, automation strategy, and best practices
Experience with test management tools (JIRA, TestRail, Zephyr, etc.)
Good to have ability to write and optimize SQL queries for database testing
Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to troubleshoot complex issues
Experience working on complex projects in an Agile environment
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
