The NYC Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) enriches the environment and protects public health for all New Yorkers. They are seeking an intern to assist in the digitalization and organization of sewer records and develop plans and templates for the Drainage Review Team.
Environmental Services

Responsibilities

Assist in the ongoing digitalization and organization of critical sewer records
Develop plans, spreadsheets, checklists, and templates to integrate with the Drainage Review Section’s workflow
Work within the team to come up with efficient solutions to track, process, and organize private sewer projects to streamline reviews and documentation
Develop a final presentation to display assignments they have been involved with while working as an intern at the DEP Interns Closing Ceremony

Required

As of June of the Program year the prospective intern must be a student matriculated in a college or be a recent college graduate (winter/spring term of the Program year)
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and AutoCAD software

Preferred

Student must be currently enrolled at a college/university at the undergraduate level majoring in civil, environmental, chemical, or mechanical engineering
Student must have at least a 3.0 GPA (on a 4.0 scale)
Student must have at least a junior class standing
Civil, Environmental, Chemical, or Mechanical engineer
Access to a computer and internet at home capable of remotely connecting to DEP resources
