Responsibilities
Work directly on WLAN issue identification and resolution, including off-shift and weekend support functions
Participate in integrated testing and user acceptance of application or infrastructure components
Work actively with business partners and vendors with integration of infrastructure
Implement WLAN designs
Work with expanded WLAN team to implement processes and/or process improvements to aid in development and support
Maintain and administer WLAN including hardware, software, applications software, and configurations
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve WLAN hardware, software, or other network and system problems
Participate in an on-call rotation with team members, approximately 1 week every 8 weeks
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree AND 8+ years' of experience
Computer-related or engineering-related four-year college or university degree
Three to six years of progressively responsible IT job-related experiences
WLAN implementation and support, knowledge of risk domains, tiered domains, TCP/IP fundamentals, ethernet, QoS, IP subnetting, cabling (copper & fiber), OSPF, VLAN Trunking, VLANs, and switching configuration
Functional experience with LAN operations and implementation utilizing Cisco switches
Cisco WLAN devices/products (i.e., AireOS, 9800's, etc.)
Attention to detail
Effective communication skills
Preferred
Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
Experience with automation technologies and scripting
Relevant work experience with medium to large companies
Must have knowledge of configuration commands, software, and hardware components related to WLAN
