Responsibilities
Program, set up, and operate Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs) to perform accurate inspections of parts and assemblies
Program and operate a Zeiss Contura 5-axis CMM and support inspections on a Mitutoyo Crysta Plus M CMM
Interpret and apply engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing)
Perform first article, in-process, and final inspections to verify compliance with design requirements
Analyze inspection data and clearly document results through inspection reports and quality documentation
Partner with Engineering and Manufacturing teams to investigate nonconformances and support root cause analysis and corrective actions
Maintain, verify, and support calibration of measurement equipment to ensure continued accuracy and reliability
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance inspection methods and overall quality processes
Qualification
Required
Proven experience programming and operating CMMs, preferably using PC-DMIS and/or Calypso software
Strong proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and GD&T
Solid understanding of quality assurance principles and inspection methodologies
Hands-on experience with Zeiss Contura and Mitutoyo Crysta Plus M CMMs is highly preferred
Experience working in a high-precision or aerospace manufacturing environment is a strong plus
Exceptional attention to detail, analytical skills, and problem-solving ability
Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
Preferred
Hands-on experience with Zeiss Contura and Mitutoyo Crysta Plus M CMMs is highly preferred
Experience working in a high-precision or aerospace manufacturing environment is a strong plus
