Assistant Broadcast Engineer
The New York Racing Association is seeking an Assistant Broadcast Engineer to work closely with the EIC and other engineers to ensure that all aspects of television broadcasts are technically sound. The role involves setting up and maintaining broadcast equipment for both in-venue and network television broadcasts, with some travel required for remote studio locations.

Responsibilities
Setup and teardown of all broadcast equipment when moving between tracks
Assists parking trailers when moving to a new site
Assists with connecting infrastructure after a move including, cabling, wires, etc
Tests out fiberoptic connections
Helps build cameras when necessary
Assists with any camera issues
Assists with multiviewer setup, changes and troubleshooting
Responsible for maintaining cable cam systems, including setup, teardown and troubleshooting
Setup remote robotic cameras
Assists with wireless video and audio signals
Assists with transmission checks and troubleshoots transmission issues
Responsible for generating reports on broken equipment and tracks progress of repair
Assists with general maintenance of mobile broadcast units
Assists audio engineering team when needed
Maintaining fiber and copper cables
Qualification
Required
Knowledge of fiberoptic systems
Knowledge of mechanical systems
Able to diagnose camera issues
Understand signal flow
Basic IP knowledge
Understands routing, switching and multiviewer systems
Knowledge of land-based RF systems
CDL
High school or equivalent diploma
