Technical Project Coordinator (UCC)
Ampstek is seeking a Technical Project Coordinator who will act as a bridge between business stakeholders and the development team. The role involves coordinating the lifecycle of communication templates and providing technical guidance to developers to ensure successful delivery of customer communications.
Responsibilities
Manage the intake process for new template requests and enhancements, ensuring all UCC projects are documented, prioritized, and tracked from request through deployment
Act as a technical resource for template developers, providing guidance on HTML, JavaScript, and Handlebars implementation to solve complex logic or layout challenges
Maintain a deep understanding of the UCC technical stack (VS Code, GitLab, AWS Pinpoint) and assist in the strategic transition to new delivery solutions as AWS Pinpoint is sunset
"Bridge the gap" between Business Analysts and developers to ensure business requirements are technically feasible and clearly translated into actionable development tasks
Establish and oversee technical standards for code quality and version control in GitLab to ensure consistent and reliable customer communications
While primarily a coordination and support role, the candidate should be willing and able to perform coding and debugging if project volumes or complexity require it
Qualification
Required
Proficiency in HTML, JavaScript, and Handlebars.js for dynamic content generation
Strong experience using GitLab (or similar Git-based systems) for code management and deployment workflows
Familiarity with AWS Pinpoint or equivalent Customer Engagement Platforms (CEP) for multi-channel messaging
Ability to troubleshoot rendering issues across various devices and platforms (Email clients, SMS, RCS)
Experience with project tracking software (e.g., Jira, Asana, or Trello) to manage intake and project visibility
Exceptional ability to explain technical constraints to non-technical stakeholders and business objectives to developers
Preferred
Experience with RCS (Rich Communication Services) and Autocall technology
Knowledge of the AWS ecosystem beyond Pinpoint (e.g., Lambda, S3) to assist in platform migrations
Previous experience in a 'Lead' or 'Senior' developer role within a marketing or customer communications environment
