Responsibilities

Assist in developing engine model capabilities, methodologies, processes and tools
Provide support to engine development programs, conducting performance analysis simulations and optimization tasks
Assist in developing model test protocols, calibration procedures and analysis methodologies
Assist in supporting model architecture and workflow processes deployed throughout engine engineering

Required

Completed coursework in thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, dynamics, heat transfer, experimentation and measurement
Completed 50% of required credit hours toward engineering degree
Use of standard engineering software, including Matlab
Good communication and team skills
Pursuing a bachelor's degree, ideally in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or any additional technical and relevant degrees may apply
Ability to work 15-20 hours during the academic year
Ability to work 30-40 hours during the summer semester
Must be registered as a full-time student at a U.S. local accredited college/university
Graduation date of May 2027 or later
Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above
Must be able to commute to the work location in Waterloo, Iowa or Remote

Preferred

Use of GT-Power/ GT-Suite
Completed coursework in internal combustion engines
Engineering experience with internal combustion engines
Attention to detail and accuracy
Bachelor of Science engineering degree or higher
