Responsibilities

Lead eDiscovery Operations: Manage the complete lifecycle in Microsoft Purview, including case creation, custodian management, and executing advanced KQL search queries to support legal and compliance efforts
Defensible Data Collection: Perform in-place collections across platforms such as Exchange, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Microsoft Teams, ensuring data integrity, chain-of-custody documentation, and adherence to legal standards
Legal Hold Oversight: Administer and monitor automated legal holds to guarantee continuous preservation of relevant data, implementing “preservation in place” strategies effectively
Advanced Data Processing & Reduction: Leverage Premium features like Conversation Threading, process cloud attachments for linkage accuracy, and utilize TAR and AI technologies to prioritize relevant data while reducing volume
Process Development & Optimization: Create, refine, and enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) aligned with evolving 2026 legal standards and internal compliance policies. Conduct ongoing process improvement initiatives
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Legal, IT, External Counsel, and external review platforms (e.g., Relativity) to troubleshoot collection challenges and manage secure data transfers
Mentorship & Leadership: Provide guidance, training, and mentorship to team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence

Qualification

Required

Experience: Minimum of 5+ years in eDiscovery, with at least 3 years specializing in Microsoft Purview (Premium/Advanced eDiscovery)
Technical Expertise: Deep proficiency in Microsoft 365 environments, including managing complex data collections and legal holds
Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline
Legal & Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with EDRM, managing legacy and inactive data, soft-deleted accounts, and cloud-based storage systems

Preferred

Scripting & Programming Skills: Proficiency in PowerShell and familiarity with Object-Oriented Programming, GenAI prompt writing, and Agentic AI are highly desirable
Certifications: Digital Forensics (e.g., EnCE, GCFA), Certified eDiscovery Specialist (CEDS), or Paralegal Certification preferred
