Responsibilities
Independently perform structural analysis / design in accordance with current code requirements and accepted engineering standards using both manual and computer methods
Preparation and review of structural plans, sections, details, elevations and edit specifications
Ability to coordinate design and resolution of issues with Architects and other industry consultants through excellent verbal and written communication
Professional representation at project meetings, pre-fabrication, pre-construction and construction meetings
Perform all construction administration related tasks including addressing RFI's and site visits as required
Qualification
Required
BS accredited Civil Engineering with emphasis in Structural is required
5-10 years of experience as a PE designing commercial buildings of various types
Knowledge of Light Gauge Design
Working knowledge of AutoCAD and REVIT software
Excellent working knowledge of I.B.C., ASCE 7, ACI 318 and AISC
Knowledgeable insight of gravity and lateral load paths in commercial buildings
Preferred
Proficient in RISA Structural Design software preferred
