Responsibilities
Lead internal audits from planning through reporting, including scoping, testing, and conclusions
Assess control design and effectiveness, identify risks and gaps, and recommend process improvements
Perform and review SOX 404 testing, including walkthroughs, control evaluations, and remediation follow-up
Conduct detailed testing and maintain clear, high-quality workpapers aligned with audit standards
Partner with business leaders to understand processes, discuss risks, and provide advisory insight
Track audit findings and monitor timely remediation of action plans
Support investigations and other ad-hoc initiatives as needed
Stay current on audit standards and pursue relevant certifications and training
25-30% travel required
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
1-3 years of experience in public accounting or internal audit
Experience testing SOX 404 internal controls at a publicly traded company
Experience with IPE testing & documentation
Knowledge of Generally Accepted Auditing Standards
Preferred
CPA or CIA, preferred (or in the process of pursuing)
