Responsibilities

Design, program, and troubleshoot PLC-based control systems using Allen-Bradley platforms (ControlLogix, CompactLogix, PanelView)
Support, program, and troubleshoot ABB and FANUC robotics , including integration with PLCs and production equipment
Maintain and improve servo drives, VFDs, HMI systems, safety circuits, and industrial networks
Lead and support automation projects, including new equipment launches, upgrades, and continuous improvement initiatives
Create, maintain, and update electrical schematics and controls documentation using AutoCAD or similar tools
Perform system backups, version control, and change management for all automation assets
Collaborate cross-functionally with Production, Maintenance, Quality, and Engineering teams to resolve downtime and improve equipment performance
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to maintenance and engineering personnel
Support root cause analysis and implement long-term corrective actions for recurring controls issues
Ensure compliance with safety standards, company policies, and industry best practices

Required

5+ years of hands-on Controls Engineering experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
Strong expertise with Allen-Bradley PLCs, HMIs, and industrial networks
Working experience with ABB and FANUC robots, including programming, troubleshooting, and commissioning
Experience with servo systems, VFDs, safety PLCs, and motion control
Ability to read, interpret, and modify electrical schematics
Experience supporting automation in a fast-paced production environment
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively

Preferred

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, or a related technical field
Experience with automotive or high-volume manufacturing environments
Exposure to vision systems, SCADA, and advanced safety systems
Prior involvement in capital equipment projects and system integrations
