Maintenance Technician
Westfall Technik, LLC is a fast-growing Plastic Injection Manufacturing Company in the USA. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the repair, upkeep, and preventative maintenance of machinery, equipment, and facility systems to ensure safe and efficient production operations.

Responsibilities
Perform corrective and preventative maintenance on production machinery, tools, and facility systems (e.g., HVAC, compressors, electrical panels)
Diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues using diagnostic tools and schematics
Repair or replace defective components, including motors, bearings, belts, sensors, pumps, valves, and wiring
Perform welding, fabrication, or machining when necessary for equipment repair or modification
Execute scheduled PM tasks according to maintenance schedules and manufacturer specifications
Document all maintenance and service activities accurately in maintenance logs or CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System)
Identify trends in equipment failure and recommend long-term solutions
Support building and utility maintenance including lighting, plumbing, HVAC, and safety systems
Respond promptly to facility maintenance requests and ensure safety compliance
Assist in plant or equipment upgrades, installations, and relocations
Follow all OSHA safety regulations and company safety procedures during maintenance activities
Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures must be followed during repair or servicing of machinery
Maintain a clean and organized work area, including the maintenance shop and spare parts inventory
Report unsafe conditions, worn equipment, or potential hazards immediately
Provide input for equipment upgrades and improvements to reduce downtime and improve efficiency
Participate in root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective action teams to eliminate chronic maintenance issues
Support kaizen, 5S, and Lean Manufacturing initiatives within the maintenance function
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or equivalent required
5+ years of experience repairing plastic injection machines (disassembling, assembling, repairing electrical/electronic systems, repair of pneumatic/hydraulic systems of machines, barrel cleaning/replacing, calibrations)
3+ years repairing auxiliary equipment (material dryers, water heaters, injection molding robots, hydraulic pumps, etc)
Experience using hand tools, power tools, multimeters, PLCs, and other diagnostic equipment
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
Excellent time management and ability to prioritize tasks
Team player with strong communication skills
Ability to work independently under minimal supervision
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Prolonged standing, climbing, bending, and working in tight spaces
Comfortable working at heights or in varying temperatures depending on facility conditions
Follow all OSHA safety regulations and company safety procedures during maintenance activities
Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures must be followed during repair or servicing of machinery
Maintain a clean and organized work area, including the maintenance shop and spare parts inventory
Report unsafe conditions, worn equipment, or potential hazards immediately
Preferred
Technical certification or associate degree in industrial maintenance, mechatronics, or related field
Familiarity with CMMS systems
