Responsibilities

Support the modernization and sustainment of a large portfolio of enterprise business solutions used by NASA
Administer Kubernetes-based platforms and Red Hat OpenShift in production environments
Support containerized enterprise applications on OpenShift

Required

Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience administering Kubernetes-based platforms
Demonstrated expertise administering Red Hat OpenShift (OCP) in production environments
Strong understanding of Kubernetes concepts, including: Cluster lifecycle management (installation, upgrades, patching), Node management, scaling, and high availability, Operators, Custom Resource Definitions (CRDs), and Helm charts
Experience supporting containerized enterprise applications on OpenShift: Storage (ODF, NFS, block/object storage), Networking (Ingress, Routes, Load Balancers, DNS), Identity providers (LDAP, Active Directory, SSO), Backup, restore, and disaster recovery strategies for OpenShift workloads
10 + years of related experience
US Citizenship Required: Yes

Preferred

Direct experience with: Maximo 7.6.1.x → MAS 9 upgrades, IBM Cloud Pak deployments, IBM licensing models and entitlement management, Familiarity with IBM support processes and tooling
Performance tuning and capacity planning for OpenShift clusters
Automation experience using: Ansible, GitOps tools (ArgoCD, Flux), CI/CD pipelines
Red Hat Certified Specialist in OpenShift Administration
Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE)
Kubernetes certifications (CKA, CKAD)
