ANALYST I
The California Department of Toxic Substances Control (DTSC) is committed to protecting California’s people, communities, and environment from toxic substances. As an Analyst I, you will provide research, analytical, communication, and administrative support to management and staff, enabling them to achieve the department's mission-critical goals.
Environmental Services
Responsibilities
Utilize EnviroStor and SharePoint data, research and provide analysis to management and SEBO staff with correct, up-to-date and easy to understand information that will enable them to carry out the mission-critical goals of the Department of Toxic Substances Control (DTSC) and respond to various assignments as required by management
Provide research, analytical, communication and administrative support in a wide variety of consultative and analytical staff services assignments such as program evaluation and planning, and performance measures/workload tracking as it relates to the DTSC Strategic Plan and the SEBO Operations Plan
Collect and analyze data on workload, overhead projects timeline and budgets
Analyze staff resources and workload commitments for the development of the annual work plan
Prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly and bi-annual reports utilizing data from various resources
Update site-specific data in EnviroStor and independently issue site codes and docket numbers for Phase I, Preliminary Environmental Assessment and enforcement projects
Qualification
Required
Experience responding to internal/external Stakeholders
Training/experience in Microsoft office
Experience preparing reports, memos or presentations
Experience managing administrative projects
Experience/training in data collection, analysis and management
