Under the general direction of the Office Chief of Maintenance, a Supervising Transportation Engineer, the incumbent is responsible for maintaining the health of electrical field elements and delivering electrical Minor "B" projects
This position will direct a staff of Transportation Engineers and Transportation Engineering Technicians
Qualification
Required
Possession of a valid certificate of registration as an Electrical Engineer issued by the California State Board of Registration for Professional Engineers
Demonstrated ability to supervise or lead staff
Demonstrated design experience in preparing plans and specifications for electrical infrastructure projects
Demonstrated experience collaborating with internal and external partners, including regulatory agencies, local agencies, and elected officials
Demonstrated experience overseeing the construction or inspection of electrical infrastructure and coordinating with contractors
Demonstrated excellent oral and written communication skills, including effectively delivering presentations
Demonstrated capacity for innovation and improving efficiency
Possession of a valid driver's license is required when operating a state owned or leased vehicle
This position(s) requires(s) a valid Professional License issued by the California Board of Registration for Professional Engineers for appointment
Incumbent must retain a valid PE license, register as an electrical engineer
