Applications Systems Analyst II - Early Career
The N.C. Department of Information Technology serves as the Technology Center for the State of NC, providing technology services to state agencies. They are seeking an Applications Systems Analyst II to support the implementation, operation, and maintenance of IT systems for engineering processes, while also leading projects and validating work of team members.

Responsibilities
Use their engineering experience to design, develop and support highly complex computer software applications for the analysis, design, and rating of structural engineering components
Act as a team lead for assigned projects
Be responsible for creating structural engineering calculations and validating work of other team members assigned to the project
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in computer science or an IT related field or related technical degree from an appropriately accredited institution and two years of experience in business application consulting or development
OR
Associate degree in computer science or an IT related field from an appropriately accredited institution and three years of experience in application consulting or development
OR
High School or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and six years of experience in business application consulting or development; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Preferred
Demonstrated experience with C#, WPF, Java, Visual Studio and/or SQL
Demonstrated experience designing and analyzing bridge or building structures using current AASHTO, ACI or AISC design codes
Software engineering experience with industry standard Software Development Life Cycle methodologies
