Responsibilities

Perform daily rounds, inspections, and surveillance of combustion turbines, fuel systems, auxiliary equipment, and balance-of-plant systems
Operate combustion turbines and supporting systems in accordance with operating procedures, permits, and ISO-NE dispatch requirements
Perform routine and corrective maintenance across mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and controls disciplines based on training and experience
Assist with troubleshooting of gas turbine, electrical, and control system issues to minimize forced outages
Must be able to work independently or with little supervision
Must be able to participate in on-call rotation and respond to call out events
Maintain strict adherence to OSHA, EPA, CT DEEP, NPDES, and air permit requirements
Participate in plant safety programs, Job Safety Analyses (JSAs), and hazard recognition activities
Safely handle and document work involving hazardous materials, fuels, and chemicals
Support environmental inspections, audits, and reporting requirements
Assist in developing and maintaining operating and maintenance procedures
Support profit and performance improvement initiatives
Provide input to annual plant budgets, training plans, and maintenance strategies
Support predictive maintenance activities, equipment trending, and plant historian data review
Assist in the selection, coordination, and oversight of contractors supporting: Combustion turbine maintenance, Electrical and I&C work, Fuel system services, HVAC, welding, and specialty services
Support planned and forced outages, including extended hours as required

Required

High school diploma or GED
Minimum 5 years of experience in power generation operations and maintenance or comparable industrial process operations
Hands-on experience with combustion turbines (FT4 P&W, GE, Siemens, or equivalent preferred)
Working knowledge of DCS/SCADA systems, PLC diagnostics, and plant control systems
Strong troubleshooting skills in mechanical, electrical and instrumentation systems
Familiarity with plant historians, trending, and predictive maintenance technologies
Ability to qualify and maintain qualifications as a control room and roving operator
Ability to perform and document work in compliance with regulatory requirements
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Valid driver's license and maintain a clean driving record

Preferred

Technical degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience with fossil fuel power plants
Prior experience in ISO-NE–dispatched facilities
Familiarity with Connecticut environmental and operating requirements
