Systems Analyst 1 - Part Time
Town of Zionsville is seeking a part-time Systems Analyst to maintain IT infrastructure and manage Audio-Visual systems for public meetings. The role involves troubleshooting technical issues, providing help desk support, and ensuring the efficient operation of AV equipment.

Responsibilities
Proactively set up, test, troubleshoot, and operate AV equipment—including microphones, mixers, projectors, cameras, and streaming equipment—to ensure smooth and reliable operation for public meetings. This includes pre-meeting preparation and on-site support
Serve as the first point of contact to independently diagnose and resolve common software, hardware, and network issues efficiently and accurately. Provide effective troubleshooting for end-users regarding hardware, software, and peripheral devices
Perform maintenance, installation, configuration, and repair of desktop computers, laptops, printers, and other IT equipment. This role requires light travel at times between municipal buildings to provide on-site support
Log, prioritize, track, and resolve help desk tickets in a timely manner. Identify and escalate complex issues to Tier 2 or Tier 3 support when necessary, ensuring a clear handoff
Assist with basic Active Directory tasks and other system account management duties, such as password resets and account creations or modifications
Proactively create, update, and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including knowledge base articles, troubleshooting guides, and AV system setup procedures
Assist with special projects and perform other duties as required to support the department’s goals
Qualification
Required
Demonstrated experience with modern Microsoft Desktop Operating Systems (Windows 11) and basic administration of Microsoft Windows Server, such as user management
Ability to work independently when needed to diagnose issues, maintain systems, and manage workflows without constant supervision
Proven ability to resolve technical issues accurately
Experience setting up and troubleshooting standard AV equipment, particularly for presentation and public forum environments
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a professional demeanor and a strong commitment to exceptional customer service
High level of attention to detail and strong organizational skills for accurate ticket management and inventory tracking
Must pass a CJIS (Criminal Justice Information Services) background check
Preferred
A+ or similar industry-recognized IT certification
Experience with ticketing systems (e.g., NinjaOne, Atera, ServiceNow)
Familiarity with remote desktop support tools
