Automation Technician - Disk Maintenance (Onsite)

Responsibilities

Install, maintain, and replace Control systems at key points in the production process
Troubleshoot non-functioning components including servos, sensors, and control components
Develop and improve HMI and SCADA systems (mostly Ignition based)
Verify data collection redundancy and security for process parameter
Log equipment usage, parts replacement, and scheduled maintenance to ensure maximum functionality
Periodically report to leadership regarding control capabilities and status
Verify stability, interoperability, portability, security, or scalability of system architecture
Develop system engineering, software engineering, system integration, or distributed system architectures
Collaborate with engineers or software developers to select appropriate design solutions or ensure the compatibility of system components
Identify system data, hardware, or software components required to meet user needs
Communicate with staff or clients to understand specific system requirements
An entry-level professional contributor on System Engineering team. Has theoretical knowledge. Problems faced may be difficult or complex
Work is moderately supervised. Influences others within the work area through explanation of facts, policies and practices

Required

Experience in a production environment, particularly as it relates to control technology
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
Project approach experience or awareness
Excellent mechanical aptitude and communication skills

Preferred

Associates degree in mechanical engineering, robotics, or a closely related technical field preferred
2 years or more industrial maintenance working directly with machines (doing both electrical and mechanical)
Experience working with Microsoft Office
