Responsibilities
Lead design and development of scalable, high-performance solutions using AWS services
Support, enhance, and modernize the Disease Surveillance System (MDSS)
Ensure automation, data integrity, security, and compliance across the system
Develop and maintain ETL pipelines, data processing workflows, and analytics
Write clean, maintainable, efficient code in Python and/or Scala
Architect and implement Elasticsearch and Kibana for efficient data retrieval and analysis
Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to gather requirements, write technical specifications, and produce design documentation
Participate in full SDLC including test planning, code reviews, and Agile delivery
Mentor, guide, and provide technical oversight to development teams and junior engineers
Ensure source code version control and collaborative development via Git
Qualification
Required
12+ years developing complex database and enterprise systems
8+ years hands-on experience with Databricks
8+ years hands-on experience with Elasticsearch / Kibana
8+ years hands-on experience with Python / Scala
8+ years hands-on experience with Oracle database development
5+ years experience with ETL processes and data pipelines
5+ years experience with AWS cloud application development
5+ years experience with data warehousing, data visualization, and data integrity
5+ years experience with Agile software development practices
5+ years experience with CMM/CMMI Level 3 methods and practices
Deep understanding of logical and physical database modeling
Ability to write and maintain detailed software design documents
Strong communication, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
Preferred
Experience creating CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps
Experience supporting public sector or healthcare systems
Experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR) and HL7 data standards
