Battery Algorithms & Controls Design Intern
Robynex Automation is seeking a motivated intern to join their Battery Algorithms team. This role involves collaborating in a cross-functional team to develop advanced battery controls and algorithms for mass-market passenger vehicles and energy solutions.

Responsibilities
Collaborate in a dynamic, cross-functional team to advance cutting-edge battery management features
Contribute to our industry-leading battery products for mass-market passenger vehicles and energy solutions
Collect and analyze laboratory and fleet data to support the development and assessment of high-quality battery controls and algorithms, ensuring safety and performance in real-time
Develop and improve advanced battery controls and algorithms to enhance vehicle performance and customer experience
Work closely with teams across controls, battery cells, embedded software, system engineering, and vehicle integration to define requirements and perform integration testing
Assist the Battery Software department with additional tasks as needed
Qualification
Required
Knowledge of battery chemistries such as LFP and NMC
Understanding of general battery control and algorithm design
Experience with battery management systems and EV powertrains
Proficiency in MATLAB/Simulink and C/C++
Fields of study: Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related disciplines
Currently enrolled in a Master's or PhD program at an accredited university. Proof of enrollment is required
Knowledge of electrochemistry and battery modeling
Familiarity with vehicle controls, including motor, onboard charger, and thermal systems
