Responsibilities

Primary responsibility for leading the accounting and finance areas
Ensure development and implementation of administrative systems within the internal control framework established by the IP policies and controls group
Provide active, visible support for the mill safety program as the highest priority
Participate in the development of the budget, strategic plan, and capital plan
Support cost reduction efforts through analysis and highlighting cost reduction opportunities
Actively educate the mill team on key cost drivers and financial metrics
Work closely with the Global Sourcing Team to ensure that materials and services are procured at the lowest overall cost to IP while following financial policy
As a member of the Lead Team, will participate in setting policies and procedures that are consistent with the IP Way and which support high performance work systems
Understands and meets internal and external customer requirements

Required

Five years experience in an Accounting/Finance position, preferably in manufacturing
Proven track record of developing and implementing administrative systems
B.A./B.S. degree in Accounting or Finance
Strong financial/treasury and accounting experience
Proven track record of behaviors, which promote and support a principle-based organization
Strong financial analysis skills and project management experience
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Experience in strategic plan and budgeting process
Strong facilitation skills
