Responsibilities
Quote new parts from customer prints by determining material requirements and accurately assessing feeds, speeds, cycle times, tooling and fixturing requirements
Develop and optimize CNC milling programs based on engineering drawings and specifications
Set up and operate CNC milling machines, ensuring proper tooling and fixtures are in place
Monitor machine performance and make adjustments as necessary to maintain quality and efficiency
Conduct regular maintenance checks on equipment to ensure optimal performance
Collaborate with engineering and production teams to troubleshoot and resolve machining issues
Maintain accurate records of production runs, tooling changes, and maintenance activities
Adhere to all safety protocols and promote a safe working environment
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or equivalent
3-5 years experience as a CNC programmer, specifically with milling processes
Strong understanding of G-code and M-code programming languages
Familiarity with CAD/CAM software and CNC machine setup
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team-oriented environment
Preferred
technical degree or certification in CNC programming
