Responsibilities
Lead and support a cross-functional team of engineers (ee, me, fw, optical) in the development of new products and drive design for manufacturing excellence
Participate on a project team of engineers involved in the specification, design, development, assembly and test of electromechanical product hardware
Provide manufacturing input to mechanical design reviews. Design for DFx : DFC, DFQ, DFM, DFR, DFT
Help provide training/mentorship support to contract manufacturing personnel
Improve manufacturing operations processes and actively enhance efficiency, consistency, cost avoidance, and customer satisfaction
Approve and validate mechanical first articles
Assist in early prototype testing and troubleshooting/debug to find root cause failures and drive back fixes to engineering or contract manufacturer
Work in conformance with established manufacturing processes and procedures
Develop manufacturing process and best practice documentation
Qualification
Required
Recent B.S. in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering (or related)
0-2 years of experience in Manufacturing Product, Process, or NPI Engineering in manufacturing environment
Ability to produce high quality documentation that is clearly understandable by internal and external personnel
Hands-on experience with assembly and test equipment and associated fixture design
Able to work independently and as a strong team player being detail-oriented, organized, and hands-on
Solid understanding and experience with 3D CAD (SolidWorks)
