Responsibilities
Oversee and optimize all aspects of the CPU's production processes, including scheduling, ingredient sourcing, and quality control
Develop and implement standardized operating procedures to ensure consistency and efficiency
Continuously monitor and analyze production data to identify areas for improvement and cost reduction
Collaborate with culinary teams to develop innovative and efficient production techniques
Provide ongoing coaching, mentoring, and performance feedback to team members
Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that promotes teamwork and employee engagement
Ensure adherence to all safety, sanitation, and food quality standards
Develop and manage the CPU's budget, including forecasting, cost control, and variance analysis
Monitor and control labor and food costs to optimize profitability
Analyze financial data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement
Manage the efficient flow of ingredients and finished products between the CPU and client locations
Coordinate with procurement and logistics teams to ensure timely and accurate deliveries
Optimize inventory levels to minimize waste and maximize profitability
Implement rigorous quality control procedures to ensure that all products meet Bon Appétit's high standards
Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify and address potential issues
Collaborate with culinary teams to develop and maintain recipe standards
Qualification
Required
4+ years of experience in food production, preferably in a large-scale commercial kitchen
Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Proficiency in financial analysis and budgeting
Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Technical Proficiency: Proficient in computer and technical skills, including a working knowledge of Google Suite tools (Sheets, Docs, Slides)
Preferred
ServSafe Manager Certification is preferred
Experience managing in a Union Environment is a plus
