Responsibilities
Prepare and review individual, business, trust, and estate tax returns with accuracy and efficiency
Develop proactive tax planning strategies to minimize client tax liabilities and maximize financial outcomes
Represent clients before the IRS in audits, collections, and appeals matters
Research complex tax issues and provide technical guidance on tax law changes and their impact on clients
Conduct client meetings to discuss tax positions, planning opportunities, and estimated tax payments
Review financial statements and client records to identify tax savings opportunities
Assist with IRS notices, correspondence, and resolution of tax controversies
Maintain current knowledge of federal and state tax laws, regulations, and filing requirements
Collaborate with team members to ensure timely and accurate completion of tax returns during peak season
Mentor and provide guidance to junior staff members as needed
Qualification
Required
Active Enrolled Agent license in good standing
Minimum 3-5 years of tax preparation experience
Strong knowledge of individual and business taxation, including partnerships, S-corporations, and C-corporations
Proficiency with tax preparation software
Excellent analytical, research, and problem-solving skills
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple client deadlines
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
Ability to explain complex tax concepts in understandable terms to clients
Preferred
public accounting experience
experience with Intuit ProConnect
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
