Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) – AI (Sierra)Agents & CRM Integrations
United Business Solutions, Inc. is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) to design, build, deploy, and scale Sierra AI agents in production environments. This role involves working closely with product, engineering, and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into scalable AI solutions while ensuring seamless integration with CRM systems.

Responsibilities
Design, build, configure, and deploy Sierra AI agents to support customer-facing and operational use cases
Translate business and operational workflows into agent behaviours, decision logic, and orchestration flows
Integrate Sierra agents with Salesforce, supporting: API calls, Data mapping, Case creation and updates, Customer context retrieval, Escalations to human agents, Status tracking and reporting, Troubleshooting sync issues to ensure a unified agent and customer experience
Partner closely with product, CX, and other stakeholders to translate business goals into technical reality
Own end-to-end delivery from requirements gathering and solution design to testing, staging, and go-live
Debug, monitor, and optimize agent performance in production
Establish best practices for agent reliability, observability, and safe deployment
Act as a technical bridge between platform engineering teams and business stakeholders
Qualification
Required
5+ years of experience in software engineering, solutions engineering, or forward-deployed roles
Hands-on experience building and deploying AI agents, conversational systems, or workflow automation
Strong understanding of CRM concepts such as: Customer records and profiles, Cases, Omnichannel interactions
Expert-level understanding of RESTful and SOAP APIs
Experience integrating systems via APIs, webhooks, or middleware
Expertise with tools such as Git and Postman
Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, and/or Java to write production-level code, scripts, and data transformations
Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills in production environments
Ability to work directly with customers or internal stakeholders to drive outcomes
Preferred
Direct experience with Sierra or similar agent platforms
Experience integrating with Salesforce Service Cloud or other enterprise CRMs
Familiarity with LLM-based systems, prompt engineering, or agent orchestration frameworks
Experience working in customer support, CX, or operations-driven environments
Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure
Experience in fast-moving or startup-like environments
