Building Automation Technician
Responsibilities
Pull, route, label, and terminate low-voltage control cable
Install and wire:
Controllers, VAV boxes, and field devices
Temperature sensors, thermostats, and actuated water valves
Perform light system checkout and basic functional testing
Read and interpret wiring diagrams, control drawings, and point lists
Handle device changeouts and retrofit work in occupied buildings
Work from ladders, lifts, and above ceilings in active job sites
Follow safety standards and job-site best practices
Qualification
Required
2+ years of hands-on experience in HVAC Controls / Building Automation (BAS / DDC)
Experience pulling and terminating low-voltage wiring
Familiarity with VAV systems and HVAC equipment
Ability to read and work from control drawings and schematics
Comfortable working in the field and in commercial environments
Strong troubleshooting and organizational skills
Preferred
Experience with BAS platforms such as: Johnson Controls, Siemens, Honeywell, Trane, Schneider, Distech, Automated Logic
OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 Certification
Basic understanding of HVAC systems and sequences of operation
