Summer 2026 Intern - Continuous Improvement Process

Herschend Family Entertainment is the world’s largest family-held themed attractions company, and they are seeking a Continuous Improvement Process Intern to assist with process improvement and business optimization projects. The role involves data analysis, labor optimization, and project management across various operating locations.

Responsibilities

Analyze historical data to identify key trends and indicators on top of which future labor management practices will be based
Complete labor studies at Herschend parks which include data gathering, time in motion studies, process observations, and providing recommendations to varying levels of park personnel
Prepare action plans for gaining labor efficiency and institute follow-up procedures to ensure execution
Assist leadership with overseeing and managing the overall project
Prepare project status update presentations on regular cadence for varying levels of leadership
Work with stakeholders at all levels including but not limited to front line team members, park operations managers, park GMs, and Property Support Center leadership
Quickly understand processes to identify optimization possibilities
All other duties assigned by leadership

Required

Must be currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Finance, Economics, or Business Management
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Ability to frequently travel to US park locations throughout the summer (70-80% expected travel)
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
Ability to think creatively while maintaining accordance with business constraints
Proactive self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a friendly attitude
Proven ability to manage time efficiently and meet deadlines while juggling multiple priorities
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to effectively work with business and technical teams
Must be comfortable speaking in front of large groups and be able to communicate complex concepts to audiences of varying skill and knowledge levels

Preferred

Previous work or internship experience involving data analytics, project management, or similar duties
Previous hospitality, theme park, or waterpark experience
Basic understanding of demand-based planning
Previous experience with Microsoft Power BI or similar data analytics tool
