Responsibilities
The Lab Assistant receives and accurately processes surgical or diagnostic tissue specimens from various hospital departments
Maintains Pathology laboratory equipment, work area and supplies
May be asked to transcribe surgical pathology and cytology reports; interacts with customers and co-workers in a professional manner
Assists physicians in obtaining reports and prepares case consults for mailing
Performs miscellaneous duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma or Equivalent
