The IT Business Analyst Intern will support the Information Technology department by defining, documenting, and refining business and system requirements for internal technology initiatives, working closely with business users and IT teams.

Responsibilities
Meet with business stakeholders to understand processes, pain points, goals, and desired outcomes
Conduct interviews and working sessions to gather and clarify business and functional requirements
Ask thoughtful follow-up questions to uncover assumptions, constraints, and dependencies
Document current-state and future-state processes, workflows, and requirements
Help organize and maintain business requirements and supporting documentation
Collaborate with IT technical resources to review and validate requirements for feasibility and clarity
Assist in defining project scope, key deliverables, and success criteria
Prepare clear, concise materials to support handoff to development teams
Participate in project meetings, requirement reviews, and status discussions
Continuously refine documentation based on feedback and new information
Learn and apply practical business analysis techniques in a real-world environment
Qualification
Required
Currently enrolled as an incoming Sophomore, Junior, or Senior pursuing a degree in Computer Information Systems (CIS), Management Information Systems (MIS), Business Analytics, or a related discipline
Strong interest in business analysis, process improvement, and technology-enabled solutions
No programming or technical design experience required
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Comfortable engaging with people at varying levels of the organization
Curious mindset with a willingness to ask questions and probe for details
Ability to listen actively and synthesize information from multiple sources
Organized and detail-oriented with an emphasis on clear documentation
Analytical thinker who can connect business needs to system capabilities
Ability to work independently while seeking guidance when appropriate
Professional, approachable demeanor with a collaborative attitude
Minimum 18 years of age
Legally authorized to work in the country of employment without sponsorship now or in the future
Ability to work on-site in the Evansville, IN office for the duration of the internship
Preferred
Coursework or academic projects involving systems analysis, process mapping, or requirements gathering is a plus
