Controller
Ajulia Executive Search is a New Jersey based Executive Search Firm specializing in retained searches in multiple sectors, including Manufacturing, Finance, IT, Legal, and Pharmaceutical. They are seeking a Controller to oversee general ledger integrity, manage accounting operations, and ensure compliance and reporting accuracy.
Responsibilities
Oversee general ledger integrity, including account reconciliations, journal entry review/approval, and daily financial transaction management
Direct all core accounting operations, including cost accounting, revenue recognition, and evaluation of internal controls
Manage accounts receivable functions such as complex billing, AR aging analysis, cash receipt processing, and system proficiency development
Supervise accounts payable and purchasing activities, including invoice approval, payment authorization, and PO review/preparation
Assess and improve accounting processes, implementing operational enhancements and ensuring strong compliance and reporting accuracy
Serve as the primary liaison for SAGE system activities while supporting cross‑departmental coordination and operational efficiency
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in accounting/ finance
3+ years as Controller
5+ Years from Service Industry (Costing experience)
Proven experience managing full budgeting cycles, financial reporting, and consolidated accounting processes
Strong ability to prepare bank filings, government reports, internal/external statements, and ensure accuracy during ERP transitions (e.g., SAGE X3)
Skilled in tax support, regulatory compliance, and coordinating external audits
Advanced analytical capabilities, including developing performance dashboards and interpreting operational financial data
