Responsibilities
Provide technical leadership and architectural oversight to application development teams
Design, develop, and support complex Java/JEE enterprise applications
Collaborate with business stakeholders to align application architecture with business requirements
Support modernization and enhancement of MDSS, ensuring data integrity, security, and compliance (SEM/SUITE)
Develop and maintain software architecture and design documentation
Design and build RESTful web services and web applications
Execute full SDLC including technical specifications, development, testing, and deployment
Prepare and maintain technology roadmaps for supported applications
Guide data migration efforts, including Oracle to PostgreSQL
Tune and troubleshoot SQL / PL-SQL queries and performance issues
Mentor and provide technical guidance to developers across multiple projects
Qualification
Required
12+ years designing and developing complex enterprise systems using Java/JEE technologies
10+ years reviewing technical designs to ensure enterprise architecture standards
8+ years hands-on experience with Spring / Spring Boot, Hibernate/JPA
Strong experience with RESTful & SOAP web services
Experience with Oracle and PostgreSQL database design (logical & physical models)
Proven experience in Oracle → PostgreSQL data migration
Hands-on experience with Databricks
Experience with Apache Tomcat, JBoss, OpenShift containers
Strong experience using Git and modern source control practices
Experience working on large Agile projects
Experience preparing architecture roadmaps and modernization strategies
5+ years experience with AWS cloud technologies
Experience with AWS services: EC2, S3, VPC, Lambda, MSK (Kafka), EKS/ECS Fargate, OpenShift (ROSA)
Experience designing cost-optimized AWS solutions (right-sizing, pricing models, monitoring)
Preferred
3+ years experience creating CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps (nice to have)
Familiarity with Kubernetes concepts (Pods, Deployments, Services, Persistent Volumes)
Knowledge of Elastic agents and observability tools
Apache Kafka, Apache Spark, ActiveMQ
Experience with Angular or ReactJS
Healthcare or public sector application experience
