InternHanwha Philly Shipyard is seeking a Project Planning Intern to assist in various project planning activities. The role involves supporting data collection and analysis, creating project planning drawings, and maintaining schedule progress reports.

Responsibilities
Ensure that all HPSI safety procedures, rules and regulations are communicated, understood, and followed
Assist Project Planning in their weekly production support activities
Support data collection and analysis, including reviewing engineering models and assisting with necessary adjustments to project schedules
Create and modify Project Planning Support Drawings utilizing AutoCAD
Create, update, and maintain schedule progress reports to support project tracking and decision-making
Perform data management and reporting using ERP/SAP systems and Primavera P6 scheduling software
Reproduce and manage design drawings, production drawings, and Design Change Notices (DCNs)
Provide technical and administrative support for miscellaneous departmental projects as required
Temporarily support the shipyard’s Hull Design (structure), Outfitting and Electrical Design, Production, Procurement or Quality Control Departments in various ship production activities
Performs other related duties as required and assigned
Qualification
Required
Rising sophomores, juniors, or seniors pursuing degrees currently pursuing a degree or certificate in Mechanical Engineering
Minimum GPA: 3.0
Proficiency with MS Office and 2D CAD systems, such as AutoCAD
Strong organizational and multitasking skills; ability to work in a fast-paced shipyard environment
Preferred
Coursework or experience in project planning, production management, or data analysis is preferred
Familiarity with technical drawings, design change notices, and production documentation is beneficial
Previous internship, co-op, or hands-on experience in shipbuilding, manufacturing, or production support is advantageous but not required
