Registration Services Coordinator (Administrative Support Coordinator I)
San Diego State University is seeking a Registration Services Coordinator who will support student enrollment and academic progress through administrative and enrollment services. Responsibilities
Provide enrollment services and customer support related to registration, grades, transcripts, residency, and academic records through in-person, phone, email, and digital platforms
Review and process student petitions and academic record updates while ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with FERPA, CSU, and university policies
Assist students, faculty, staff, alumni, and the public in navigating enrollment procedures and resolving complex or non-routine issues
Maintain the integrity and confidentiality of academic records, including enrollment and degree verifications, through accurate data processing
Contribute to enrollment management strategies and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service quality and responsiveness
Qualification
Required
Fully functional knowledge of and skill in standard office procedures and practices
Ability to understand and operate in a variety of organizational structures
Thorough knowledge of English grammar, spelling, and punctuation
Ability to clearly communicate orally and in writing
Ability to use and quickly learn new office support technology systems and software packages
Several years of related office work experience
Preferred
At least 2 years of clerical, administrative support experience in customer service
Working knowledge of CSU residency rules and regulations
Thorough understanding of the 1974 Family Educational Rights to Privacy Act (FERPA) in terms of releasing information on students
Working knowledge of USCIS immigration classifications and immigrant visas
Demonstrated ability to guide students through enrollment processes and provide comprehensive support to students, faculty, staff, alumni, and the broader campus community
Experience working in an enrollment services division or Registrar's office
Experience in a university setting working with diverse student populations
