Process Engineer

Responsibilities
Develop, refine, and sustain manufacturing processes for RF thick-film products, including printing, firing, machining, metallization, plating, assembly, and inspection
Investigate process issues and implement corrective actions to improve yield, quality, and consistency
Conduct structured experiments to optimize parameters and reduce variability
Create and maintain technical documentation such as work instructions, process maps, and control plans
Support qualification activities for new materials, tooling, and fixtures
Support R&D for prototypes and first articles
Update routes/travelers in the ERP in alignment with process evolutions
Provide hands-on support to resolve equipment, material, or process issues
Assist Maintenance and Engineering teams in evaluating equipment performance, sensor issues, calibration needs, and preventative maintenance requirements
Review data to identify trends or early signs of process drift
Use statistical tools (SPC, data trending, capability analysis) to assess process performance
Analyze production data to identify improvements in scrap, cycle time, and throughput
(Preferred) Write or maintain basic Python scripts to automate data collection, analysis, or reporting
Participate in Lean, 5S, workflow improvement, and waste reduction activities
Support CAPEX projects, equipment upgrades, and introduction of new manufacturing technologies
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support operational initiatives and process enhancements
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related engineering discipline
2–5+ years of experience in a process or manufacturing engineering role
Strong mechanical aptitude with hands-on troubleshooting skills
Experience in semiconductor, thick/thin film, ceramics, electronics, or precision manufacturing environments
Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T
Familiarity with SPC concepts, DOE fundamentals, and root-cause problem-solving tools

Exposure to CNC machining, dicing, plating, precision printing, or laser processes
Python programming for data analysis, scripting, or automation
Experience with manufacturing data systems (SAP, ERP) and basic industrial sensors
