They are seeking a Distribution Engineering Intern who will work under the direction of a project lead to prepare construction deliverables, analyze and design distribution circuits, and support maintenance of distribution components.

Responsibilities
Prepare construction deliverables and details for: Overhead and underground services (4 KV through 34 KV), Structural analyses, Voltage drop calculations, Bill of material, Cost estimates, Permit drawings, Third party coordination
Analyze and design distribution circuits
Support maintenance and recapitalization of distribution components
Plan modifications to the system
Develop work packages
Attend field visits
Qualification
Required
Strong interest in design
Self-starter, proactive, and able to work independently with minimal direction
Ability to quickly identify and prioritize issues, create solutions, and meet deadlines
Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail
Ability to adapt, proactively ask questions, and seek guidance when needed
Strong communication skills
Preferred
A degree from an ABET-accredited engineering program
Familiarity with various distribution design/analysis software
Experience with CAD and GIS software
Experience in utility distribution inspections and/or construction
Familiarity with design codes and standards such as NESC, NEC, ANSI, IEEE, GIS/GWD
