Responsibilities
Develop and implement quality assurance processes and standards to ensure product compliance with specifications and regulations
Responding to day-to-day design, production, and customer quality issues related to production lines
Collect and analyze process data to identify variations and trends, using statistical tools to drive continuous improvement initiatives
Resolving production problems associated with process errors, non-conforming parts, and design problems
Reviewing manufacturing instructions for completeness, correctness, and comprehension by assembly personnel
Assisting in ensuring that quality assurance specifications are met by engineering, manufacturing, and other involved functions
Identify and analyze defects or issues in products and processes, leading investigations and implementing corrective actions
Create and maintain detailed documentation of quality processes, test results, and compliance metrics
Lead initiatives for process improvements and quality enhancements, utilizing lean manufacturing
Conduct internal and external audits to ensure compliance with industry standards
Develop and implement Statistical Process Control (SPC) techniques to monitor manufacturing processes and ensure consistent product quality
Train production staff on SPC principles and techniques, providing guidance on data collection and analysis methods
Conduct root cause analysis on quality issues, utilizing SPC data to identify corrective actions and preventive measures and ensuring adherence to regulatory and company quality standards
Work closely with engineering, production, and quality assurance teams to promote a culture of quality and ensure compliance with standards
Participate in internal and external quality audits
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Assurance, or a related field; Master's degree preferred
5+ years of experience in quality engineering or a related field, preferably in a manufacturing or technology environment
Relevant certifications (e.g., Six Sigma, ASQ Certified Quality Engineer) are a plus
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, proficiency in quality tools and methodologies, excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Familiarity with regulatory standards (ISO, FDA, etc.) and quality management systems
Preferred
Experience Building Quality Systems from scratch
Experience implementing Automation & Controls engineering solutions
Experience working with Design Engineering to design issues out
Experience using tools such as PFMEA and SPC
Strong leadership and project management skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects
Detail-oriented with a commitment to high-quality standards
