Responsibilities
Perform required visual and dimensional inspections while utilizing quality tools and equipment to capture inspection data
Interpret product specifications and tolerances on quality drawings accurately during inspections
Lead the documentation of non-conformances and containment of non-conforming product
Support and/or lead quality investigations and provides accurate and timely data collection when needed
Support and/or participate in continuous improvement efforts
Use data, standards, and necessary quality tools to make consistent and principle-based decisions, such as when providing a disposition for non-conforming product
Initiate and support the setting and updating of product specifications
Manage and improve documentation of processes and procedures
Provide urgent support to production and effectively elevates issues when needed
Participate in the quality training program
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree or higher education in a technical field (fields of mechanics, information technology, mathematics, science, etc.) or 2+ years of work experience in a manufacturing quality environment or plastics injection molding
Proficiency in basic computer software (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.)
Strong attention to detail
Basic understanding of measurement systems and tools
Passion for learning and growth with ability to manage own tasks and meet goals and objectives with little supervision
Demonstration of sense of urgency and ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment
Excellent listening and communication skills, with strong ability to seek buy in on all levels
Strong analytical and critical problem-solving skills
Proven track record of making consistent, logical, and objective decisions using good judgment
Ability to assume good intentions and exhibit trust in workplace relationships
Preferred
Basic understanding of the following: quality concepts, quality tools, probability, statistics, calibrations, and metrology
Up-to-date professional quality certifications (ASQ, QAI, CSSC, etc.)
