Survey Project Manager
SPG Planners + Engineers is a licensed land surveying firm serving clients across Georgia. They are seeking a Survey Project Manager to manage and support surveying operations, ensuring projects are executed accurately and efficiently while maintaining quality standards.
Responsibilities
Lead and oversee multiple surveying projects from initiation through completion, including scheduling, budgeting, resource allocation, and quality control
Supervise, train, and mentor field survey crews, ensuring adherence to SPGLS standards and best practices
Establish and maintain surveying workflows, procedures, and documentation standards to support accuracy, efficiency, and consistency
Review and interpret project plans, plats, and legal descriptions to guide project execution
Collaborate closely with SPGLS office staff, as well as SPG planning and engineering teams, to ensure integrated project delivery and smooth cross-disciplinary coordination
Maintain proactive communication with clients, internal teams, and external partners to align on project scope, timelines, and expectations
Prepare and review project documentation, reports, and deliverables for internal and client use
Ensure compliance with Georgia State Board of Registration for Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors standards
Support proposals, scopes of work, job setups, and estimates as needed
Identify workflow inefficiencies and implement process improvements to enhance project performance and team productivity
Provide technical guidance and set the tone for attention to detail, accuracy, and quality across all survey deliverables
Provide occasional field support, including overseeing crews, verifying work, and ensuring compliance with safety protocols
Act as a senior point of leadership within SPGLS, guiding project strategy and execution while fostering a high-performing, collaborative team environment
Serve as a key liaison between the SPG Land Surveyors and SPG Planners + Engineers, ensuring alignment on priorities, workflows, and project delivery
Foster a collaborative, team-oriented environment across SPGLS and the broader SPG firm, providing guidance, technical insight, and strategic direction
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field
Minimum of 5 years of experience in land surveying and project management
Valid driver's license and clean driving record
Preferred
Licensed Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) in Georgia
LSIT at minimum
