Intermediate Business Systems Developer
The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) is a collaborative health care organization focused on improving patient care and the lives of Arkansans. They are seeking an Intermediate Business Systems Developer to formulate and define system scope and objectives, develop software, and perform project tasks related to healthcare business and patient care systems.

Responsibilities
Under direction, formulates/defines system scope and objectives
Develops and modifies procedures and software to solve complex healthcare business, patient care, healthcare regulatory, and medical research problems using state of the art and legacy software development tools and methods, considering computer equipment capacity and limitations, operating time, computer-user interfaces and form of desired results
Expected to perform project tasks such as software development, software implementation, application maintenance, application troubleshooting, software upgrades, software testing, and custom report writing, in individual and team member roles
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in information management systems, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field of study plus 3 years of computer programming experience - OR -
Associate Degree in Information Management Systems, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field of study plus 5 years of computer programming experience - OR -
High school diploma plus 7 years of computer programming experience
Proven programming experience in one or more programming languages is required
One year of experience Visual Basic and some experience in one or more of the following: C#, Visual Studio, PHP, ASP, or other web-based programming language
One year of relational database experience in PostgreSQL, MySQL, Microsoft SQL or Oracle
Client/Server programming, Internet application programming required
The position requires the ability to manage multiple projects and to work closely and effectively with co-workers and end-users
Preferred
Healthcare experience is a plus
