Responsibilities
Provide advanced support for SAN and NAS systems, including troubleshooting and resolving storage-related issues
Monitor system health, performance, and availability; verify hardware and server resource integrity
Manage user, group, and permission configurations and access protocols
Support storage allocation planning, data restoration, and offsite storage facilitation
Perform technical configuration changes and evaluate new hardware/software solutions
Generate performance reports and conduct storage resource analysis
Install, configure, and upgrade backup appliances and data protection software
Tune backup environments for performance and troubleshoot issues
Set up and manage data duplication pools and backup devices
Ensure replication between locations and perform system recovery and data restores
Conduct root cause analysis and support change/risk assessments
Handle high-priority incidents and support continuous process improvement
Recommend, approve, and implement Cyber Sense configuration changes
Maintain Cyber Sense operations and ensure concurrency
Define and execute monthly data recovery test sets
Perform and document monthly test recoveries of Data Domain-stored data
Provide daily operational support, including escalation and investigation of security alerts
Evaluate and validate security items identified by Cyber Sense
Track and validate daily analysis; escalate incomplete analysis between replications
Qualification
Required
BA/BS degree and 6-8 years' relevant experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience
Proven experience in enterprise storage and backup administration
Strong knowledge of Data Domain, Cyber Sense, and data protection technologies
Experience with system monitoring, performance tuning, and recovery testing
Familiarity with security analysis and incident response processes
Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams
