Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable web applications using the Django framework
Write clean, efficient, and reusable Python code for server-side logic and application functionality
Design and implement RESTful APIs to facilitate communication between different software components
Design and manage database models and schemas, working with systems like PostgreSQL, MySQL, or SQLite
Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic
Write unit and integration tests, and troubleshoot/debug applications to ensure high quality and performance
Optimize application speed and scalability, and implement security and data protection measures
Participate in agile development processes and collaborate with cross-functional teams (designers, product managers, etc.) to define and ship new features
Write detailed documentation around the code, functionality, and processes
Qualification
Required
4-8 years of experience with Proficiency in Python and Django: Deep knowledge of the Python programming language and mastery of the Django framework, including its architecture, ORM, and templating engine
4-8 years of experience with Familiarity with front-end technologies like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, as well as general web development principles
4-8 years experience with Strong understanding of SQL databases and database management principles
4-8 years Experience with version control systems, most commonly Git
4-8 years experience with Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills to identify and fix issues effectively
Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively in a team environment
Preferred
A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience is often preferred, though a strong portfolio can suffice
