Start in 2026 SummerTesla is seeking interns for their Power Electronics group to design and manufacture power electronics hardware for automotive and energy storage products. Interns will collaborate with various engineering teams and gain hands-on experience in simulating and designing power converters.

Responsibilities
Simulate and design power converters for use in automotive and energy storage applications
Assist validation and debugging for power converters
Collaborate with mechanical, PCB layout and firmware engineering team to successfully design, validate and manufacture power converters
Qualification
Required
Currently pursuing a Masters or Doctorate degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
Experience with high voltage (>400 V) testing
Lab experience with basic EE tools (Oscilloscope, Network analyzer, Signal Generators etc.)
Solid understanding of the operation principle of switched power converters
Familiar with schematics capture and power converter circuit simulation tools
Familiar with analog and digital circuit design and validation
Preferred
Experience with Altium Designer
Experience with communication protocols (CAN, I2C, SPI)
