Software Application Developer
The California Department of Justice (CA DOJ) is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Full Stack Application Developer to join their team, playing a critical role in developing and maintaining applications that are vital to public safety across the state. This role involves designing, developing, testing, and deploying mission-critical applications while ensuring security and accuracy of essential law enforcement information systems.

Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain high-quality, scalable applications using Java and leveraging modern frameworks like Spring Boot
Develop dynamic and secure user interfaces utilizing modern web technologies and template engines
Manage and optimize Oracle databases, including writing complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and conducting troubleshooting and performance tuning
Actively participate in an Agile/Scrum environment, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives, to ensure rapid and iterative development
Participate in all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including requirements analysis, system architecture, testing, and deployment
Design, implement, and maintain DevOps integration and testing pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, Bitbucket, and Artifactory to automate and ensure continuous quality
Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to translate complex legal and business requirements into technical specifications and application features
Ensure the highest standards of security, integrity, and privacy are met for all sensitive criminal justice information
Qualification
Required
Highly skilled and motivated Full Stack Application Developer
Experience in developing and maintaining applications vital to public safety
Technical expertise in a public-service environment
Design, develop, and maintain high-quality, scalable applications using Java and leveraging modern frameworks like Spring Boot
