LABOR RESEARCH AND STATISTICS DIRECTOR

Responsibilities
Leads the agency’s enterprise workforce data and labor market information strategy, overseeing governance, system integration, analytic standards, and data architecture to ensure quality, security, and usability
Provides strategic leadership to the Research and Statistics team, directing federal reporting, performance analytics, forecasting, longitudinal analysis, and labor market information functions in compliance with U.S. Department of Labor requirements
Oversees program evaluation, applied research, and cost-benefit and impact analyses to assess outcomes and return on investment
Develops data-driven reports, state plans, grant applications, legislative briefings, dashboards, and decision-support tools, translating complex data into actionable insights
Serves as a principal advisor to agency leadership and collaborates with state, education, workforce, and private-sector partners on workforce analytics and longitudinal data initiatives
Qualification
Required
Six semester hours in economics with an additional six semester hours in a combination of economics, math, computer science, statistics, or marketing plus one of the following:
Three years of experience in accounting, financial auditing, or statistical analysis, plus five years of experience in statistical analysis, marketing, information technology, workforce development, public benefits claims examining, or human resources
Six years of full-time work experience in any field plus five years of experience in statistical analysis, marketing, information technology, workforce development, public benefits claims examining, or human resources
A bachelor's degree plus five years of experience in statistical analysis, marketing, information technology, workforce development, public benefits claims examining, or human resources
An advanced degree in economics, business administration, public administration, math, statistics, or information systems and decision sciences plus four years of experience in statistical analysis, marketing, information technology, workforce development, public benefits claims examining, or human resources
