Responsibilities

Perform all functions under this job description
Maintain a clean and safe shop
Comply with all Company and Safety Policies and procedures in the performance of assigned duties
Perform tack welding and finish welding of piping systems utilizing both SMAW, FCAW, SAW, GTAW and GMAW welding procedures
Weld small vessels and structural components utilizing SMAW, FCAW, SAW, GTAW and GMAW welding processes
Perform these procedures to meet CCC certified procedures
Back-gouge using carbon-air-arc or plasma for full penetration welds
Clean and polish welds to company design specifications
Pass non-destructive testing of pressure retaining welds, on both pipe and vessels
Work from drawings/sketches to determine weld size, weld location and weld process
Inspect own work to ensure compliance to drawings and weld procedures and make necessary repairs
Assist with incoming parts inspection and final product inspection and complete appropriate documentation
Operate Fork trucks, jib cranes and overhead crane
Complete ASME code weld log documentation daily - high pressure cyclesorbs and assist in other areas of the plan as assigned

Required

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required
Prior ASME welding certificates is required
2-3 years welding experience is required

Preferred

Associates degree (A.A.), or equivalent from two-year college or technical school is preferred
ASME code welding is preferred
