Responsibilities
Support large-scale enterprise infrastructure environments across compute, storage, and operating systems
Discover and analyze compute, storage, and OS-level configurations across complex, distributed systems
Identify and map dependencies between applications, compute resources, and storage components
Perform holistic infrastructure assessments rather than isolated system analysis
Create clear documentation, diagrams, and reports showing infrastructure layouts and relationships
Automate discovery and data collection using scripting and tooling
Consolidate findings into structured formats such as spreadsheets, diagrams, and summaries
Present technical findings to engineering and non-engineering stakeholders
Support platform and infrastructure teams with insights that drive operational and architectural decisions
Qualification
Required
Strong hands-on experience with VMware / ESX and compute infrastructure
Solid OS-level knowledge across Windows, Linux, and Unix
Experience with storage technologies including NAS, NFS, SMB, shared LUNs, and clustered file systems
Scripting experience using Shell and/or Python
Strong documentation and communication skills
Preferred
Experience working in large enterprise or highly distributed environments
Exposure to infrastructure discovery, dependency mapping, or assessment tools
Experience supporting platform modernization or infrastructure transformation initiatives
