Responsibilities
Lead the R&D and engineering team in developing new products, prototypes, and manufacturing processes
Oversee full NPI lifecycle — from concept and design to validation, pilot run, and production ramp-up
Perform design reviews with strong focus on DFM/DFA, testability, and cost optimization
Drive hardware and/or embedded software development to meet customer specifications
Manage project scope, timelines, resources, and cross-functional coordination (engineering, production, quality, procurement)
Evaluate and introduce new technologies, tools, materials, and testing methods
Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and hands-on support to the engineering team
Collaborate with customers on technical requirements and contribute to proposals/presentations
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a closely related engineering discipline
Minimum 5+ years of experience in R&D / engineering management roles in electronics manufacturing, EMS, or product development environment
Must have solid hands-on experience in hardware design (e.g. PCB design, circuit design, component selection) and/or embedded software/firmware development
Proven ability to lead complex product development projects from concept to mass production
Strong knowledge of PCB assembly technologies, SMT, testing methods, reliability engineering, and manufacturing processes
Excellent leadership, project management, problem-solving, and communication skills
English fluency required; Mandarin/Chinese language skills are a strong plus (due to global supply chain)
Authorized to work in the United States
Preferred
Highly preferred industry experience (one or more)
Golf industry electronics (e.g. rangefinders, launch monitors, GPS devices, swing analyzers)
Battery Management Systems (BMS) for lithium-ion battery packs
Smart pet equipment / pet tech products (feeders, trackers, monitoring devices, etc.)
