Responsibilities
Support real client projects by assisting with geotechnical reports, designs, and analysis for structures such as dams, bridges, and buildings
Aid in field reconnaissance and observation of exploration borings on challenging terrains
Assist in planning subsurface exploration and laboratory testing
Contribute to the design and analysis of foundations for dams, bridges, buildings, and other infrastructure
Provide support for construction observation activities during project execution
Qualification
Required
Enrolled in an ABET-accredited undergraduate or graduate program in Civil or Environmental Engineering or related area, with a preferred focus on Geotechnical Engineering
Demonstrated interest in geotechnical engineering through prior internships or applied academic
Familiarity with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Suite
Strong analytical skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
Comfortable working in challenging environments including remote terrains
Preferred
Prior experience with geotechnical software such as Slope, STABL, and gINT
